Duck egg externally pipped over 36 hours

Okay… i’m going to start!! I can’t thank you enough for your help. Here’s a photo of him :) I can’t attach videos:(
Poor little guy ): ❤️ 🥺
I hope everything goes well. If you need more help with knowing how to help it hatch, you can find a video on youtube.
Again, best of luck to you and your little buddy. I hope all goes well (: Keep me updated

okay… i have another four in there and only two have externally pipped- should i help them out to? how should i help them out? just peel their shell away? Thank you so much for your help
Only help the two that have already externally pipped. The other two probably have a very low chance of survival. You should only help a chick/duckling if it has pipped.

Hello,
My duck pipped externally over 36 hours ago and is making a lot of noise- maybe like he is in pain?
There is a hole but i don’t know whether to help him out?
Please help!!!
Hiya
I don’t have any experience with ducks, but if you put a search in on here, there is quite a few threads about this, with lots of advice. Good luck 😊

Well… he’s out!! He seems happy, but has still got a yolk attached to him- though most seems absorbed. He’s chirping away and is moving around a lot! We have just hatched another who doesn’t look too healthy :(

What should i do with the yolk that is attached to him? should i leave it on there?

I have just had a little read up on this from other threads, most advice is to leave it, and leave the duckling in the incubator for another 24+ but as I said earlier, I know nothing about hatching ducks…check out other threads, I’m sure they will point you in the right direction 😁

Yayy! So happy to hear it.
Sometimes they are too weak to make it out themselves. I believe you did the right thing, because 4 days after the hatch date is where things get iffy.

Good job! ❤️ Keep me updated

I think you should leave it on so it absorbs. Keep him in the incubator until he's fully dried, then move him to the brooder with other ducklings (if there are any)
