I should have added we are currently either 13 or 14 days out from hatch date. We did have 7 losses, but currently have 23 that are still growing. Are there any developmental issues that could arise from that or is that typically when the egg is further along? I already dealt with a wry neck runtling and I really don't want to have another surprise I'm unprepared for.
It’s hard to say honestly
One guy who bought my eggs months ago had 6 all 6 growing and then we got a big power outage with a big winter storm tbey were out of power for 13 hours and then a few more shorter ones but they also lost house heat in that time
All 6 hatched on time and none had issues
I had the opposite happen to me thos last batch by bator went silly and when I added warm water went to sleep woke up 5.5 hours later my bator said 99.8 my calibrated thermometers read 110. I had noticed it do this one other time but caught it when it got to 103 so I know the eggs were in the heat for hours
None were moving I had 12 eggs in there
I let them cool naturally and got the bator new water with cool water
Started it up and got babies back in
I thought I would loose them all but to my surprise only one quit the other 11 all hatched and nobody had issues. They are all doing great
I have always used warm water but now I won’t
I read all of my eggs should be dead and no way any of them would survive the high heat for hours
My 11 babies proved all the posts relating to that wrong

. Keep hope eveuthing should be fine
Only the strong survive
