duck egg lockdown?

do you lockdown on day 25 or 26?

That's what I am wondering!

I set my eggs at midnight, or let's say 12:01 AM. So that day is day 1. It is now day 25. I think it is supposed to be 3 days of lock down, which would mean begin at the beginning of day 26, or 12:01 tomorrow.

I'm a worried expectant ducky daddy!!!!! I hope we get some guidance.

What are you hatching? I have 9 out of 12 ancona duck eggs still alive in the shells. 4 of them have what seem to be overly large or malformed air sacs, so I'm worried about those guys. :/

im hatching anconas too! 4/6. 2 died early in shell. were they shipped?

Mine were shipped. The USPS beat them up badly, with four smashed and two cracked! >_<. One of my cracked ones looks to be among my healthiest, though.

How do your air sacs look?

aww so sad to hear that. mine were shipped too and my air cells look great. just candled recently and so far so good!

Excellent! I just looked at a couple of mine and they are so active! It looks like one duckling's bill was pushing on the airspace membrane, but I don't think it has broken through. They are all quiet, though I am peeping at them.
