Duck Egg!?!

So I got 2 ducks about 6 months ago and now one of them finally laying eggs. The other is always mating with it and the previous eggs have looked to be fertile. Unfortunatley my mom wouldn't let me hatch those but this morning we got a double yolk ( used flashlight and checked) and she says i can try to hatch it! I know you have to wait a few days to see if the egg is fertile but don't you have to incubate it during then? Also can I used a ten gallon aquarium, 100 watt heat lamp and a bowl of water to hatch the egg? I know you need heat and humidity but I don't know how much and for how long? I'm going to my dad's for the weekend so I need answers as soon as possible for my mom to take care of it for the next 2 days. PLEASE ANSWER! I REALLY WANT IT TO HATCH

Do you have an incubator? I'm not really sure about ducks but for a chicken egg your gonna need an incubator so I'm guessing it is the same concept.

You will get a lot of different opinions when it comes to incubating double yolked eggs. Sometimes it works out and you get twin ducklings (almost always need assistance hatching) and sometimes both develop and one dies or only one yolk is fertile etc etc.

Up to you. I have never used a homemade incubator so I can't help you there. I would start with regular duck eggs.

I only know how an electric incubator works but my advice to you is to research how to build a homemade incubator. Once you have set up your incubator I am pretty sure if you keep it at a steady temperature you won't need to touch or change anything.

I'm using a fairly cheap, small incubator. Sold on Amazon as janoel 12, magic fly, it has a lot of names. I got it for $60. Has everything you need for cheap.
The egg left at room temp (pointy end down) and rotated once a day should keep for up to a week, so you have time to get set up.

My mom has allowed me to get an incubator so on the way home tomorrow me and my dad are getting on at a farm store. I am almost certain all the incubators they might have are for chickens so my question now is can a duck egg be okay with chicken egg incubator?

An incubator is an incubator, only difference is the humidity requirement and time to hatch. Google incubating duck eggs.
