tues is lockdown and now i have four that are all ready pipped. out of the turner, into egg cartons, raised the humidity, why are they early. temp has been rock solid 99.5 these are my first duckies. lots and lots of chicks. these are my first ducks.

That is completely normal. Ducks will very often pip 2-3 full days before hatch. I fairly regularly have them pip a little more than 3 days before.

two duckies have hatched, and best i can tell with my flashlight, five more have some serious cracks in the shell. this waiting is killing me. at least i can see them in there.

Congrats on the babies and don't forget pictures!

Smaller eggs than normal for the breed.... high temps.... small breeds sometimes hatch a tad earlier.

There are (not saying this is likely) even cases where someone doesn't collect the eggs right away, and they start to develope in the nest either due to the seasons (hot summer) or a broody.... then get placed in the 'bator and they finish out there... which would mess your timing up. Like I said, not likely.... but possible. Point is... never underestimate a egg. I see alot of people on here worry that their hatch isn't going textbook.... they will hatch through great extremes.

It's just one of those things. Enjoy your babies!
