Hi,

My daughter was gifted 14 duck eggs from a classmate and he did not know the breed of duck. I cannot manage to get a hold of his parents, either. Right now we are on Day 15 in the incubator. We are down to 10 eggs, all of which seem to be healthy and growing (distinct veins with wiggly little embryos). The other eggs were not fertile.

Since different duck breeds incubate for different lengths of time, what should I look for as a clue to lock down the eggs?

Thanks, from an "accidental" duck momma! :)

I stop turning a week out from hatch and no problems with ducks or chickens. Others may have different ideas but always worked for us on healthy eggs.

Thank you, I am just not sure when hatch will be since I don’t know what breed they are.
