I bought a dozen Rouen duck eggs last week. They've been in the incubator for 5 days. I was thinking about putting some chicken eggs in on day 7 since the ducks take an extra 7 days. I know that humidity might be a factor, but has anyone had any luck with this? Let me know what you think.

You would be going about it the right way by putting the chicken eggs in that week later so they hatch at the same time. I have only done it once. ( Incubate duck eggs all the time- but only ever done 1 setting of chickens ) Everything turned out ok. 80 % humidity at hatching is a bit high for chickens - but they still hatch.

Your not supposed to because ducks need a lot higher humidity then chickens, during incubation and when they hatch.
