Duck eggs not hatching??

That egg doesn't look like its dipped yet are we sure about the days. Ducks usually will collect there eggs even bury them and when they are ready which is usually one week that's when they sit full time. So if day one is counted from the first egg laid I would probably add more days depending on how many eggs are there. Also first time mommies aren't the best and if she's a first timer then I would consider bring them in and finishing the job if it seems like she's not sitting any more. But if all the eggs look like that picture then they aren't ready. I would guess and say you have about another week yet.

Oh, we use one word for two different things.  When I mentioned sticky, there is a list of stickies at the top of the Duck Forum.  That's the sticky I was writing about.

The word sticky has been bounced around so many times it seems like that's one way to discribe any egg lol.

If you can still see movement and don't have an incubator you may could finish them out on a heating pad if you wanted.. I've done it successfully in a pinch. Just set on low and cover with a damp rag. Good luck!!

Hi everyone,

I appreciate the feedback but sadly they didn't make it :(
Its now day 31 and I am going to take the eggs away. I brought one inside later on day 29 to see if I could save it but it was already dead.

Thanks anyway and hopefully everything goes better next time she goes broody!!

So sorry. I know what a huge disappointment that is. I'm sure next time will be better!
