Duck eggs pipped but no progress in 40 hours

I got 2 out, both very weak. Occasionally chirping but just lying there. I'm going to get the last out too. I'll leave the one that hasn't pipped.

Good idea, make sure you talk to them. They've heard your voice throughout the incubation period so it should be calming to them. They're probably a bit scared right now, I know my chicks usually are... And if they get to know your voice as a calming sound early on then they will generally enjoy it throughout the years. Me flock usually comes running when they hear me and try to follow me sometimes when I leave. So cute, it even puts them to sleep sometimes!
I'm sure that they will liven up a lot quicker if they feel calm and safe. I think they'll be fine, and you'll end up with adorable, healthy, and goofy little bundles of joy!

Thankyou so much. I have been talking to them and they've been chirping back. Thank you everyone. Any idea what I should do with the non pipped one? It's moving inside the egg but I'm worried about the humidity now ive taken eggs out and put ducklings back in.

Use a light to see if the last egg is internally pipped. You should see if there is a shadow in the air cell. If it is a small hole might be a good idea. A screw at the end turned until through. Then see if there is yawning. If there is wait until that stops to help. The yawning is yolk absorption. If he is not yawning give him a short time while you look for the hatch assist article.

Maybe if you don't feel comfortable making a hole for it you could tap on it gently with your fingernail and try to encourage it to come out. But I definitely would make a small hole at the top of the air sack like other people are saying. You don't want it to suffocate...

Make a safety hole over the air cell as a first step
Just went to make a whole and noticed air sac looked quite big. As I was making a hole I noticed the membrane had shrink wrapped around. Was moving 2 hours ago so I broke it open but sadly it had died. 3 seem healthy but tires. Thank you all.

Oh I'm so sorry about that last one, it's so sad when that happens. But 3 out of 4 is (from what I've heard) an extremely successful hatch for ducks. Do you have names picked out for your 3 new additions to your family?

Possibly... Jemima(sons choice), Honey(sister's choice) and Luna. They are sleeping the the moment but chirp when I speak to them!
🤞 Everything goes okay. I don't know what I'd have done without you guys tonight! Thankyou!!

3 safely out. No bleeding! Bit more movement now and chirping!
I believe the no bleeding is also confirmation that it was OK to take them out when you did.

Those pics are so cool! Wonderful!

Curious...are those pekings?

Lately the pekings I have, have been growing on me.
