Duck eggs pipped but not hatching! HELP!!!

No candling since Friday They were all moving then.
Okay, I got all the shell peeled from around the membrane so you can see it. I think I just need to leave them alone and let them cook some more.

Can you get some triple antibiotic ointment and put it on the part that is connected to him or her whatever it is...

That might soften it a bit or maybe you could pull off some of the shell and leave the rest of it.

I just can see the duckling starting to walk and get the egg caught somewhere and then ripping out his insides. I'm pretty sure you'd be quite horrified if you saw that because I know I would be.

I just candled most of eggs, and looks like most are dead now. I'm at a loss as to what went wrong..... maybe I should've just left their eggs in their nest in the hopes of one of them going broody.

So many things could have gone wrong...

Did you track the air cell to see if it was on track?

Did you cool or spray the eggs?

I candled the eggs everyday, so they got cooled some. I didn't mist them because I couldn't find consistent information about doing that. I didn't mark the air cells on the shells but noted them when I candled the eggs. 7 dead internally pipped ducklings, 7 other dead in shells, 4 others that I made rescue holes into... 1 huge umbilical duckling in the brooder.

Oh wow I’m sorry about the dead ones

I've got 20 duck eggs in the incubator, day 27, I've got 4 pipped for more than 24 hours and a couple more for less time than that. But no hatching other than an assist I did that the duckling was dried to the edges of the membrane (it won't survive). Is there something I'm doing wrong that is keeping them from hatching on out? Humidity was at about 30% during incubation, increased to about 55% at lockdown.... Any helpful advice is greatly appreciated!!!! Is there something I can do safely to help?

Please tag anyone that can help (I forget who the duck hatching experts are).

if the ducks are dried to the inside of the shell what you should probably do is use some warm water and spritz it on the shell to loosen the duck from the shell, then gently try to take it out of the shell without ripping the shell off. But overall I would just wait if they seem fine.

That black one's belly is still attached to the yolk/membranes.... so it's trying to get out but is still anchored in!

If you feel more comfortable, you can put paper towels in a cup,you can put the black one in his shell,

I’m so sorry to hear about your ducklings that have passed. This is what I’m absolutely afraid of.. losing my babies at hatch.

To finish the rest of putting the black duckling in his shell, in the cup- so that he can’t disconnect from the shell without taking his whole yolk- I read that in the assisted hatch guide that I sent you.

What are you hatching?
I’m hatching ducks, for the first time (hatching anything), but I’ve spent countless hours over the past two weeks researching from incubation, hatch, to brooder, etc., so I’m paying very close attention to this thread. I think I’m ready in an emergency, but I don’t want to lose them. My duck eggs had a mama originally in my garden and a fox took her while I happened to be at the window she was nesting, so I took the eggs as soon as she was taken and made a fake bator (again after researching what to do to keep them going). It’s been 2 weeks now, I candle them every night and they’re all going strong!! For now, like I said I’m worried about hatch.
