He looks good and lively. Its not too much, I think he'll be fine. Take the shell out of the bator and put him back in for an hour or so. How are the others? He's adorable

Done. He is moving around well and chirping a lot. Still in the incubatorOn it
I put the cornstarch on it. Should that be okay?Same deal as a premature baby, its very critical to keep that open umbilical area clean
May I ask why you don’t prefer the cornstarch? That’s what I put on there. Hope it’s okayI personally don’t like the cornstarch thing. I use a dab of Neosporin, or nothing at all. Keep him in something dry and won’t rip the belly. (Like some of the wire grates in the bottoms of incubators, I hate those things!) I like the rubber shelf liner.

Great thanks for the explanation! I will wipe it away when I place him in the brooder. I don’t think it was disrespectful at all! I welcome everyone’s advice. Thanks! It’s fine. I just personally don’t use it. I didn’t think it was actively bleeding from the navel. A little blood is not a huge deal if it stops. I want that protrusion to be absorbed with as little “extra” stuff as possible. The Neosporin just helps fight possible infection, and kinda melts away, where cornstarch globs on to any moisture. I don’t want a clump or wet cornstarch being absorbed. I would wipe it away as soon as possible, if i used it.
Just my humble opinion, I don’t mean to disrespect anyone else’s opinion.
