Thankyou ,I'm hoping they hatch I noticed the "twin egg"started wiggling yesterday as well ,I didn't expect that egg to even make it this far ,I am shocked, but understand low twin hatch rateIncubating at higher temps will definitely cause an early hatch. Stopping turning now should be just fine but as far as when to expect them to hatch specifically, I can't really say other than agreeing that you're correct in anticipating an early hatch. Fingers crossed your hat h goes well! Especially the twins! It's possible for them to hatch but they have poor hatch rates so don't get too attached to that egg just in case.![]()
Me too ,good luck I hope your hatch goes wellIāve got day 21 duck wigglers (pekin/Rouen mixes). This is my 1st time incubating. I can also see shadowing in the air cells. Hope for a successful hatch for you (and me), but Iām hoping they wait a little longer.
Thanks again everyoneJust wondering does anyone know how long they typically wiggle befor pipping ? 2 of them have been wiggling for just under 48hrs ,is this normal?
ThankyouWiggling can start days before hatching, when you see a lot of wiggles it's often when they're rotating to get in position for hatching.
Yes I found one this afternoon facing 180 from how I thought I left itThankyou ,I'm hoping they hatch I noticed the "twin egg"started wiggling yesterday as well ,I didn't expect that egg to even make it this far ,I am shocked, but understand low twin hatch rateI put them into lockdown yesterday when i noticed all 3 wiggling, one of them has turned completely horizontal to the others lol
