Duck eggs

So my mallard has just started laying. I’ve gotten eggs 1 week apart, and then two days in a row and nothing since. What should I expect? Will she lay daily eventually?

Mallards aren't really a laying breed, so I'm guessing she won't lay an egg a day. They only lay 60-100 eggs a year, but some lay more. It will take some time for her to start laying eggs at a regular pace, since she is a new layer.

Mallards often have very infrequent laying patterns, and to add to that she's a new layer. So it may be a while until there is some routine to her laying pattern. As, @25chickens mentioned, Mallards don't lay very much to begin with either, so don't expect too many egg's.

Ok thank you. I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I found a nest of hers outside of the coop this morning. She kept disappearing and reappearing, I finally saw where she was going and found 3 eggs. Little stinker! Lol

I was going to mention that too...Mallards don't tend to lay in our nesting boxes, however cozy and comfy they may be, they'd rather lay in a predator infested mud lined nest somewhere, lol.
