Duck eggs

Mallards often have very infrequent laying patterns, and to add to that she's a new layer. So it may be a while until there is some routine to her laying pattern. As, @25chickens mentioned, Mallards don't lay very much to begin with either, so don't expect too many egg's.
 
Ok thank you. I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I found a nest of hers outside of the coop this morning. She kept disappearing and reappearing, I finally saw where she was going and found 3 eggs. Little stinker! Lol

I was going to mention that too...Mallards don't tend to lay in our nesting boxes, however cozy and comfy they may be, they'd rather lay in a predator infested mud lined nest somewhere, lol.
