Duck eggs!

You are very welcome! Happy to help.
One last thing, ducklings usually take longer to pip and zip than chicks.
Do not worry if it has been 24 hours from pip and duckling hasn’t zipped.
Can take up to 48 hours.

I am in Alabama and Mother Nature has a mind of her own here so it’s been like spring the past two days but last week was stormy and cold then the rest of this week will be like winter for us.
OK so you are 21 hours behind us. That means that in 5 hours is the best time to candle and water test

Okay I feel a little better she ended up laying on more than a normal clutch should be she had like over 20 I counted yesterday and she had 13 with 2 or 3 in question but for the most part the rest of the 13 had movement. And I’ve seen online sometimes even with movement when mom has them they just don’t hatch and this is both mine and her first time!

I had one that took 50 hours once!
Oh my goodness! I would not be able to take my eyes off them! I started getting worried due to someone on my social on my video updates I do of her said their male killed all but 1 they was able to save as they hatched and I have been a nervous wreck since then!

We completely understand! :)
It is normal to be nervous or a little anxious during the lockdown/end of hatch (even with a mama duck).
Keep yourself busy and check on mama when you can’t stand it and must. :hugs
Keep us posted!

One quick heads-up about the boys : Drakes can absolutely kill ducklings, especially first-time hatchlings. Not trying to scare you, just stating the fact. If your drakes can reach the nest, I'd seperate him.
Even a calm drake can turn nasty the moment a duckling squeaks.

The mother can handle the hatch fine, but she can’t fight off two males and protect babies at the same time. Just a heads up! :)
