duck eggs

my duck eggs have started to hatch on day 25 of incubation and they havent taken all the blood or yolk from the egg whats the time scale for them to absorb this or is there not one? is there much chance of these lil guys surviving?

Just out of curiosity, what is making you think they haven't absorbed it? Can you see a big bubble type yolk sac or do you just mean the junk that is left inside the egg?

I had a duck hatch, (actually i helped it hatch because it wasn't hatching as quickly as i thought it should) with a marble size yolk sac unabsorbed. 4 hours later, it was absorbed and the duckling is fine.

My BEI's usually pip on day 24 but take another 24 hrs to hatched. In that time is when they start absorbing the yolk.
