Duck eggs

Short answer, yes, mine are still laying, though there has been a little slow down from 9 to 11 eggs a day to 6 to 9.

Can you tell us about what they are eating, how they are acting, how they are housed and any changes they have gone through?

What breed are they? How old are they? How many drakes, ducks?

well i have 9 ducks, 2 are pekins, 2 are rougens, and 2 i think are black swedish? and 2 i think are blue/green swedes? and 1 is a khaki
the khaki is the youngest lol he's still trying to figure out how to mate he sees the other males mating and he tries

he hasn't totally figured that concept out
I'm not sure how old they are I'm guessing a couple years old? i have too many drakes :D 6 drakes and 3 females :( i've lost 2 females recently (one due to rooster attack and one just disappeared *poof*)

It is possible with that many drakes and ducks now that there is so much mating activity it is interfering with the ducks' ability to lay.

It may even be affecting their overall health, so if this is the case I would separate the boys from the girls till I could introduce more girls.

lol I'm sorry but you are crazy!! My ducks hate me :( I tried seperating lol with chicken wire and they ran into it and they are pairs so they all lay together its the stupid young one trying to understand the concept of mating lol

Well, crazy or no, I have seen some sad stories of female ducks very badly injured by too many, or too aggressive drakes.

No, they don't like being separated. But if the duck is being injured, I would think of it from her perspective.

yeah i lost a female due to them being aggressive :( i'll have to try to seperate them tomorrow i get out of work waaaay too late to do it tonight :( thank you for your help though i just thought mine were done laying

I'm working on getting more females!! Just have to wait for some more cash to get adult ducks I do have 8 ducklings which are believed to be mostly females there might be one or two males
