Just found an egg outside with a huge hole in it, so I decided to crack it open and this is what I found:

Look at the huge yolk compared to the tiny duckling with the huge eye. Do you think a pred got hold of the egg or just one of the flock?

I was amazed looking at it! Damage was from two hen fighting over the nest.

Yeah, I know. In the past maybe I would have tried to get it to hatch by trying to tape the shell or something, but the level of stress that creates is just too much for me.
