Hi all,
I have a duck related question and was wondering if anyone could help.
I built an coup with an opening in a gabion wall for them to get in and out of my shed (originally Was having chickens). I’ve now decided to build a pond into my outside section and get ducks instead but I’m worried the opening may not be big enough. Would ideally like Indian Runners but concerned about the height. I can’t go with Call ducks which are smaller because of the noise they make.
Can you please advise if the opening is adequate for IR ducks and/or recommend a smaller duck which I could go for if not.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I am not sure, but from some experience with mallards i know ducks prefer to enter their coop in pairs instead of single file so i would look into how wide it should be as well. Looks like a beautiful coop from what i can see!
