How's your girl doing today. Any change in her eye?

When I first saw her this morning I thought maybe it was a little bit better, but I was just with her now and it seems about the same. I contacted the vet yesterday and their appointments are out to mid-January. For an extra $105 I can get an urgent-care appointment sooner (what a scam - aren't most visits to the avian and exotic vet fairly urgent?!). Anyway, they said I could email the vet and ask a question, so I sent him a picture and told him the treatment I was doing and asked for feedback about bringing her in. I still haven't heard back from him. For now I guess I'll just keep up with what I'm doing. Thanks for checking. She's so sweet about coming over for pets and letting me put the meds in her eye. I sure am praying it starts healing up.

I don't even know what to say about the medical profession which includes Vet care. Very disappointing.

Her eye was definitely improved this morning! I'm so thankful. Hopefully it continues improving and is back to normal in the next few days.

That is awesome. Are you using Terramycin?

Yes, rinsing with saline and using Terramycin a few times a day. I also used the vetricyn opthalmic gel instead of Terramycin a few times during the past few days. That stuff is nice because you can just drop it in the eye. But I don't know which one is most helpful.

I have both and if an irritation I use the Vetricyn if it looks worse I use the Terramycin. Sure won't hurt to use both.
Just happy to hear she is looking better.

Thanks for checking - I will post a picture later today. I almost updated yesterday, but wanted to wait one more day. It's improving so much! It's still not back to normal, but on the way. I'm so thankful I didn't rush to the vet for an emergency appointment. The vet never even got back to me on email!
