duck eye question.....

so I have 14 ducks........3 of them have bad legs.....and now one of the ones with a bad leg has a bad eye on the same side.......and Im not sure if there is anything I can do for it.....I picked him up yesterday and thought it was just dirt.....and it doesnt seem to be oozing or anything like that......but it has a brownish ring around it........looks like dirt......but its not.....and they eye itself seems to be functioning properly.....but me what do I know.........does anyone know what I am talking about or am I just crazy!!!

A picture would help a lot, make up a salt water solution like saline wash, use nice warm water and mix up the salt real good then take a cotton ball or soft wash rag and wash the eye out real good. do this several times a day till you see improvement. Or go to TSC and buy Veterycin spray it's a bit pricey but is awesome stuff, spray out the eyes until well. as for leg issues have you checked bottom of feet for bumble foot[staff infection from cuts thorns splinters embedded in foot] and how old are your ducks could also be a nutrient diff. what all do you feed them?

Could it be mites around the eye? Do the ducks have swimming-bathing water?
