Duck Feathers changing colors?????

I was checking on my ducks this afternoon and I discovered my 2 male Rouen ducks have started changing colors. They have changed into the coloring pattern of the female rouen's. Not sure if this is common do to where we live and the temperature being so high. I would appreciate any insight you have on this matter. I'm hoping it's just do to the fact it is summer.

As they get older in age they dump their colorful feathers and turn brown.

It's called their eclipse plumage. They should do this every year.
