Duck Feathers

Hi all!

I'm the proud new momma to 3 Easter ducks. They were my father-in-law's (a gift to my stepson, from a family friend), but he couldn't care for them and I live in the country and had ducks before, so I now have them.

I'm unsure of the 2 breeds and sexes of my ducks, but believe the yellow one will be white in color and the two darker one's might be Mallards.

My question is on the blue, tube like section. The feathers are coming out of them. Will these fall off/break away? Is it just for New feather support? I've never seen anything like this. My yellow duck doesn't have it, but they're all about same age.

Also if anyone can help determine my breeds, that'd be great. I'm sure the yellow is a white pekin. Will it get along with my other ducks? They tend to stick together, even though they're not all.related.

Those tubes are the feather sheaths, and they will fall off when the feathers are grown. The blue color is because they are full of blood.

Looks like 2 Rouen and a Pekin.

Thank you so much! Are you sure they're not mallards? I was looking at baby mallards on here and they look awfully similar.
