Duck feed

I have 1 male and 1 female Pekin. About 5 mos. old. She started laying about 2 wks ago. Got a soft shell egg this morning. On reg duck pellets now. Can I feed laying pellets to both? Okay for drake to have?

Layer feed (± 4% calcium) is not OK for drake or any bird not needing the extra calcium for building egg shells.
Are you providing oyster shell in a separate container?

No. First time raiser. Half duck pellet half scratc grains with little grit tossed in. What would keep drake out of oyster shell?
