Duck feeder ok?

I have one of these feeders for my chickens, and i love it! And lately my ducks have been really wasteful with their feed in their trough that I made, so I wanted to get them this one too. But are the feeding holes in these too narrow for duck beaks to get to? Ive seen contradictory answers in a few places, so let me know your opinions on duck feeders!

Some of my call ducks are eating out of this feeder. It depends on the size of the ducks. My Pekins eat out of one of the plastic 10lb feeders from TSC. They do fine with it.

im gona splurge $6 bucks and get the next size up anyways, the 30 lb one, since it has a large pan itll prolly do better for em!

I'm sorry, I looked and mine is the 30lb one that the calls are eating from. What kind if ducks are they?

The pan doesn't leave much room between the top and the side of the bottom. I had a polish chick who got their head stuck in the 30lb feeder when it got low the other day.

I have a big 25lb handing one in my barn, my scovies have it, they eat out of it and they are BIG birds. The key to remember with ducks is they shovel their food not peck so the feeder has to allow for that. So the only thing i would avoid would be the type with sectioned off areas...



avoid like this, now possible a call could fit the bill in-between those but personally i wouldn't want the divided parts for a ducks use.

Hello Duck Enthusiasts- HELP

So here's the deal: We have just started building our duck house and recently acquired our 4 pet ducks. We have quickly learned that our little duck friends are super messy with their waterer, as well as, their food. I have scoured the internet in an attempt to find a feeding/watering system that does not allow for the ducks to create a huge mess. Our ducks are free range during the day and have a pond to frollick in, therefore, they do not need a giant water source while they are confined at night.

I need everyone's opinion about the feeder/waterer system that I have posted here. Do you think ducks would be able to figure out the water trigger? Would their bills fit into the the feeder?

Please let me know if you think this is a viable option for ducks!!
