Duck Feet Splitting?

Happened to look at his feet and notice a lot of splitting.

What are they walking on?....Looks like cuts to the foot....

That happens when the litter isn't kept clean enough.

With ducks it is a constant struggle...silly beasts make a crazy mess.

I'm in the process of building his new coop. His current one is my spare which isn't that big, and while the coop area is clean, the run is a muddy mess. He should be going into his new coop by the weeekend.

If you can drop some straw or even a piece of plywood down so it has something dry to sit on and get out if the mud when needed....

It's a plastic above ground one.

Great....Just dump it out....Put gravel down so it can drain and then you can hose it all off....

Or keep it out of his pen. I can't imagine having a pool inside a pen but I have 13 ducks and 2 geese the ducks love to make mud pies they even manage to get through any rock we put down.
