So yesterday afternoon after posting that... Cadbury flew herself over the fence because I wasn't fast enough getting veggies out to them lol

Looks like landscaping timbers, and make it higher or you'll probably have them going over too. Where there's a will..I love this, I am heading to the harware store this weekend to copy it for our back porch. Are those 2 by 4s or something bigger, looks great.
Can you put a "doggy door" in a higher fence? Then maybe the bassett could come through but the ducks can't? Just a thought.
Those ducklings really have spring don't they, when we had to bring our lil rejected duckling in side my dh and i worked all day to put hardware cloth around the outside of the meta crate we were going to keep him until we had a better brooder, so we get it together put it upstairs in our room place the lil one in it and go back down stairs I say to dh that sounds like the duckling running across the floor well you guess it at 2 days old that duckling had climb to the top of that crate and went through the bars down to the floor and was standing at the top of the stairs, scared the poop out of me we have a cat walk going from one bedroom to the other he could have jumped off either side. Thank goodness he didn't. needless to say he went into an all plastic dog crate from there.Hmmm... Maybe. I don't even have a doggie door to my house and want one there first. Seriously she has to jump her front end and then back end to make it into the house off the porch and the ducks just showed me yesterday they had no problem making it up the 5 inches. The ducks aren't even 3 weeks old. I'm going to have to do some planning before spring.
