I have been feeding my Appleyard's Purina Duck Feed Pellets for the last year and they each of the ducks have been laying regularly. They eat about 3/4 of a cup each on a daily basis. They also free range all day.

TSC has decided not to let me order the feed in 40lb bags anymore. I need a suggestion for food, TSC suggested layer pellets. Which I can get at my local feed store. Suggestions?

Chicken layer pellets, I would personally not do that. I would go to flock raiser with oyster on the side. I would also suggest contacting Purina directly with request for other sources in your area. They helped getting my local feed store to order what I wanted. It also helps to have a more responsive feed store. I use Steinhousers. But I think it's American country that also has good poultry selections.

Oh also there are two Purinas. You want the livestock feed one, not the dog feed one. Two separate companies

Nurture wise All Flock is great for a flock of mix males and females, if you just have females they make a layer pellet that has a high niacin content. That might be close to the duck pellet you were feeding.

Well they might be laying now but they wont always be laying. No drakes?
