I have a year old mallard drake that has a watery eye and is gasping/wheezing. He has been blue for the past few weeks as his mate was killed about a month ago, but he just suddenly took this terrible turn... and I'm not sure what to do. I put him in on some straw under a heat lamp. He has a great appetite and gets up to eat and drink with enthusiasm but he never ever stopes wheezing/gasping with each breath.
