Duck has lost use of one leg. Please help

Hey everyone sorry for the late response. I've been so darn busy. I will try to answer all the questions im sorry if I forget one. But yes her hurt leg does look a little bigger than the other. She will not stretch it out or even touch the ground with it. She will scratch her head with the foot as long as she is swimming. I tried the liquid b complex in the water and she barely drinks it. I put some of the crushed up b complex pills on some strawberries and she wouldn't eat them. I did however crush the complex b up and put a little on 2 scrambled eggs and she absolutely loved those. I can't tell if it's her actual foot or one of her joints that is bothering her. We have considered some kind of "vet wrap" my wife calls it to wrap the leg up but we haven't got it yet to try. We have some medicated food she seems to like better than the flock raiser. It is purina brand medicated feed. I messed with the foot and leg a little tonight just to try and find out the exact spot that hurts and there was no sign of pain or being uncomfortable. She's a fighter for sure and I don't see any signs of her giving up as I've heard some ducks will do. She's hangin in there. I will try the website to find the niacin that we have talked about and give her the b complex until I can get the niacin. And as far as the angel wing thing I'm not familiar with what that is

Angel wing is when the feather sticks out...kinda like an cowlick (with the hair -- hair sticks up/out at an odd angle).

One of my duckies had it. I didn't do anything differently. It was like his wings grew too fast for his body. His body caught up and it self corrected. Think of a kid who has large feet/hands/ears that don't seem to fit the body. Eventually, the kid grows into his feet/hands/ears.

Angel wing is where the tip of the wing is actually twisted around so it sticks out at a 90° angle rather than tucking up and under the rest of the wing as it should be... true angel wing does not self correct, ever, and if not corrected then flight capability is nil and bird is grounded... since *most* domestic ducks don't fly, it really doesn't hinder them, just looks awful though...
Lots of teenagers go through funky growth spurts though, and those are mistaken for angel wing quite frequently... but usually it is just the weight of the flight pin feathers growing faster than the wing muscles develop...

Oh alright thanks for that info. Gave daisy some scrambled eggs and she absolutely loved them. We snuck a little of the b complex in the eggs so hopefully it does some good. How many eggs should we scramble at a time to give her and how often? Don't wanna over do the protein like we talked about. Thank you

If you're using them to get the B Complex in her, once a day *should be* sufficient... make sure she eats regular feed in between too...

Ok so a little update. Daisy is getting a little worse off. We've been giving the eggs with b complex everyday. I know it's only been a couple days with that but like I said I don't know how long it takes if she starts showing improvement. It seems she may be getting too big to use the one leg by itself but I'm not sure. I think her foot is fine but its in fact her leg. The top of the leg seems to be ok but the joint below that she seems to not be able use or bend at all. We tried to wrap it and she squirmed so much it was hard to really get it wrapped and then when we finally got it wrapped her leg wasn't getting circulation and started turning purple so we took it off. We thought it was too tight which it probably was so we wrapped it again and it just turned into a mess. It wouldn't stay on so we removed it. I don't know what to do at this point. I would love to be able to take her to the veterinarian but we are so tight on money at all times we hardly ever have a dime to spare. Any other advice? Thanks to everyone again

Some folks do make braces that do not cut circulation. If it is a slipped tendon, I would give her as much time in a safe swim pan (that she can get out of easily so she will not drown), perhaps make a sling chair, keep her weight managed so she does not get too heavy, and make sure she has good nutrition.
