Duck hasn't walked in months

I have a white male duck who started out with bumble foot and was limping. I never had ducks before and did not realize he had bumblefoot until I researched it. I am assuming that I realized it too late since now he no longer walks, the leg is still swollen. I had him on antibiotics in his water, which he drank at first but stopped due to taste, I then resorted to giving it in a syringe. He stayed on the antibiotics for over a month with no result. This has been going on about 4 months. He eats, drinks, and will swim around if I put him in the small pond, but cannot walk. I don't want to put him down, but I am out of ideas. I even tried penicillin injections daily into breast muscle. I feel really sorry for him. He is just exciting. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Yes I can. It is his left foot/leg. There are bruises on the top from him rubbing the foot trying to move.

Is it possible to take him to a vet? Pictures would definitely help.

We have no vets in my area willing to see him!

Well, in the mean time, I would rub Neosporin on his scabs/wounds to prevent infection, although it sounds like he may already have an infection going on. I can't really say more until I can see pictures of his leg and foot. Is he only having trouble with one foot or both?

That’s odd. The underside of his foot looks good. The top view makes it look like a malformation, but I guess that could be from not walking? Aside from the scabbing, of course. Have you done a series of soaks?

No, I thought about Epsom salt but really would only be able to do twice a day

I think that would be helpful, especially if he enjoys swimming. Is he normally on cedar shavings? Do you have other ducks?
