Yes it was the dog again. Totally my fault. We just went out and spent $600 on materials and have been building a coop for the ducks that is far away from the dogs. I love my dogs so there's no way I'm getting rid of them. BUT no more ducks are going anywhere near them. They were caged, and for some freak reason the one tore his cage apart. The cages are in the garage and that is where my brooder is kept. Couldn't have predicted it. All my batches of eggs have been brooded out there and the dogs never bothered them. So anyways we have been building a coop and the future Ducklings won't be anywhere near the dogs.

Aww that's sucks! Very nice looking cooling wish mine was a little bigger! Well I hope they don't get anymore of them on u! Do u have any adult birds or did u lose all of them?

Yes I still have all my call ducks. They have a coop already so the dogs couldn't get to them even if they wanted to. I just didn't have the coop for the Anconas built yet and was improvising. I've learned my lesson. Once shame on you, twice shame on me. The coop will be finished this week so by the time the eggs I have hatch they will have their coop already built!
