Why would you want to take it from her? I am new to raising fowl so I am curious if there would be some issue with letting her care for the keet...... Please let me know, I have RIR and Pekins (ducks) that were raised together and aside from a tad bit of food aggression, they seem to be OK.

Great point... I wasn't thinking that... I feel sheepish LOL. I guess when my Pekins head for water... My chicks start chasing butterfly's and gnats..... So I never really thought a chick would want to get wet..... Thanks for the heads up.

they may follow mom straight into the water!

It's funny when a landfowl broods ducks...The mother hen FREAKS out when the ducklings go for a swim.
