Duck having trouble swimming

I haven't noticed trouble walking. They are jumbo peking. She doesn't seem larger than the others. The only thing distinctive on her is that her beak is not orange like the other - more of a pale pink.

That sounds more like a white layer. Look that breed up they have pink bills where Pekin have orange

Craziness a duck having an issue with taking to water......maybe she has two left feet? In all seriousness her head is above water so that is a big plus. Maybe she just needs a little more swim time to become more comfortable in doing so. Keep us post on how she is doing as times goes on. Beautiful Ducks you have.

Could it be possible that when she is in the water her webbed toes are not opened up like a flipper and she is trying to tread water like a dog? That is kind of what it looked like to me when I watched your video clip again.

She is able to float ok on her own in the water, but no real ability to stable herself in the water like a rudder, meaning her webbed feet.

I had a pekin do that the first time I put him in water where he couldn’t touch the ground. He panicked until he realized he can float!
He still does it a little, and he’ll swim backwards until he gets the hang of it.

In the US, HOA’s are notoriously run by militant enforcers of the rules. Not always, but they have such a bad reputation, there was recently a Tv Commercial poking fun at them.
