How loud are ducks compared to chickens?

Depends on the breed and sex of the duck. Female call ducks are VERY loud whereas female muscovies are not. Most male ducks are quiet.

I agree the female ducks are very loud. I thought they were a lot louder than my chickens. We had a black swedish and Peking mix and we finally got rid of them due to the noise from the female (the Peking mix). Muscovys however don't really quack, they make more of a hissing noise.
