Duck HELP!

Hello,
Today is Day 28 and I only see a small pip on one of my two duck eggs… should I be worried…? My other egg hasn’t pipped.
There is also a small like bruise it looks like but idk what it is.. I’ve been hearing them chirping too so I know it’s alive..

That's normal. I'm not sure if all duck eggs do that but when I hatched some pekins for my neighbor, they got that darkness on them too.

Ducks take longer than chickens to hatch so hang in there.

Do you see any movement when you candle the other egg? Check the shell carefully for any bruises in case it is trying to pip in the wrong place

I haven’t candled it since lockdown because now my other duck hatched this morning at 1:15 am so idk if I should risk opening it yet.

As long as you open and close the incubator quickly it’s quite safe to take it out to candle
