Duck house suitable for cold climates

Looking for plans/pictures of duck houses suitable for colder climates that
get a good quantity of snow/ice ..etc.

I'm going to be using this for our 3 runner ducks. We plan on putting a door on it with a lock. (I know the user TLWR has the same one , I'm sure there are pics on here !)
Since we both live in the northeast and it gets rather cold/snowy I think this could be sufficient. Whatever you feel comfortable using is the right coop so, keep that in mind!

You do get colder winters and more snow then I do in NJ. But my ducks do not mind the cold. They stay outside in snow sleet and rain. If the snow happens to reach a foot thick or more they go inside an uninsated horse run until the snow eases up then it is play time and they are out in it. Mine have free choice to go in and out when ever they feel

I'm In Canada so cold and ice is the main choice of weather.. as a matter of fact we were snowing on MOn/Tues... On the super nasty days this past winter my ducks would stay in.. We have a sloped roof to reduce snow/ice build up, floor is wood with rubber stall mats and then bedded down with shavings and straw for cooler times.

Forgot, my ducks free range so this is the night time/awful day housing.. i do leave my door open so they can go in as they please.. a few hens stayed in there most of the day Mon/Tues since winter returned lol

Oh i do! I meant i use the straw normally only in the winter months... it's messy otherwise.. although i had to add some for my two broodies.

Thanks! I was wondering because I have been using straw for bedding. I didn't realize until I got the baby duck that when it gets wet it really bothers my allergies.

It just gets to messy for my liking to use it year round but in winter they truly needed the extra warmth, right now though with the two hens sitting on nests i added some and actually stole some horse hay since i would prefer not to re purchase more straw in what is "supposed" to be spring..

Coops for ducks seem much simpler than for chickens,

I have a duck feather quilt for the winter months to keep me warm; actually, so do my ducks!!!
