Granny's gone and done it again

Pain meds with people with dementia=fall risk big time. Glad you were nearby. Did anybody by chance leave you a gait belt? Its a thick woven belt about 2 inches wide that you can cinch around a person's waist and use it to catch/steady them when their gait is unsteady or they are heck bent on falling. If they haven't, ask his PT people the next time they come around if they can leave you one. Trust me, it will make a big difference and help for you.
I had one here. Not sure where it is right now. I always walk behind him hanging onto a hip or 2.
Heres what happened. This AM he said he needed to potty then told me he didn't and there was nothing in the bowl. I should of checked his butt. Aid went to help him get cleaned up and surprise, the squirts. It was in his bed and the chair. She cleaned him and I cleaned the chair and bed. She got him dressed and when he stood back up she had NOT got him clean. That happened 2 more times with only me and my back was killing me. He was complaining of pain so knowing his PP will stop you up I gave him one not thinking it had been a long time since he had one and it was probably too strong now. So ya, that was a my bad. Also they expired a couple months ago so I figured they wouldn't be as strong.

Don't you love it when the Physio (or her dept) can't think to ring and say she won;t be coming.
Mum and I sat arround her kitchen for 30min after Physio was due waiting, then rang, "we will ring back" another 30min wait. to be told Physio was off sick.
This Pysio is suppossed to come every Monday arvo. But so far she has averaged every 2nd Monday - at this rate the 10 weeks of visits will take 6 months to complete.
Wishing you all good health.
That stinks, Finchie. I'm sorry they're not more dependable. Be sure and say so when they ask for a review!

The trouble here is that there are always way more people needing help than people who can do what is needed. So as this is a Govt thing for the elderly (mum is in her 90s) they will tick the slacker off then forget all about it, because there is no one else to do the job. But the Govt has everyone with mild ADD or ADHD who wants to work on benefits instead of helping them get the jobs they would love to be doing.

Tonight DH and I went through and marked three Australorp cockerels for processing on Thursday. I heard crowing through my baby monitor this morning, so it's definitely time. I believe I have two Ameraucana cockerels, but we'll let them grow out together for a while before we decide which one to keep.

How can I be this tired when it's not even 9 pm? :barnie Hard work being sick.
Maybe I'll be back later. :frow
Love y'all. ❤️

Supper is lamb chops and sourdough rye bread. One piece is spread with my homemade plum butter and fried in the leftover grease from frying the lamb chops, the other has two pieces of cheese on it, fried the same way and topped with plum butter.
I love my adventurous spirit!
I’ve never tried using a fruit butter and frying it in the leftover grease in the frying pan.
Lemme tell you those sandwiches were delicious! I wasn’t too sure of the combination myself, but I need not have been consterned, it is worth repeating.
Oh and the grease had whatever combined seasoning flavors in it from two previous times of being used.
