I got these two at an auction yesterday. I think they are so pretty, but I'm at a loss as to what breed they are. Any ideas? The auction ticket listed them as "ducks" and nothing else. I'm not even sure if they are male/female.

**Please excuse their make-shift pen. We are in the process of expanding the original pen/s for the chickens and ducks.

Thank you. Khaki's were my first guess as well, but they has a pretty silvery sheen to them so I wasn't positive. I think they are fairly young since they aren't much bigger than my 7 week old pekins.

They also look like my buff mallard cross drake.Prolly Khaki, but there is always a chance, lol. This is his winter feathering -sorry dont have a oic of his summer colors. They are slightly different in the blue to red ratio.

Wow! He is gorgeous! I wonder if their heads will continue to darken and end up like his? Since they were listed as just "ducks," I figured there is a good chance that they are mixed breeds. I tried to listen to their quacks today, but I can't tell if the noises they are making are sure enough quacks or murmuring noises.

I guess I'll just have to wait for an egg or drake feather.

I mean his colors are basically the same - but he has more ligth brown on his head and his colors are more fawn-ish

It looks like their heads will, just from those pictures. I dont know if they will be as dark as my drake but you never know.

He really is good looking. It does look like their heads are changing colors. They don't appear to have had much human contact as their skittish, or I would take them out and get pictures of them in the sunlight.

Brodysam- Yours look like Saxonys or Saxony mixes. It is hard to tell though not knowing how old they are and how much of that is juvenile plumage.
