So if you're trying to make an adult duck stronger and healthier, I would get some split peas and put in with their feed and see if they will eat it. She started doing this because one of the ducks we hatched inside dislocated her hip and we couldn't get it back in we kept her and she gets around fine ever with a dislocated hip but none of the ducklings we gave the peas to have had no problems with there legs

Have you tried giving your adult ducks whole peas? I have never known an adult duck who didn't like them maybe they don't like them pureed after they are adults? You and your wife have done very well.
