Duck is losing eye feathers

My healthy duck is losing his eye feathers I will send you a picture he’s completely normal but I don’t know why he’s losing the feathers so if you know why can you please tell me in the reply section

We have 4 runners but the male doesnt welcome him in, so we got some ducklings but he isnt with any duck

Does he have access to water to bathe. From what I can see he looks bright-eyed. Can he stick his head through fencing? maybe rubbing this area on fencing?

Hmm, ok, I thought perhaps he was being mated. Sometimes when holding on with their mouths the top duck can accidentally rip out some feathers.

Yes, and he does squeeze a bit through the fence to go bathe in the lake
