I see the feathers your talking about. But in the normal course of birds (I had larger duck sized parrots for a while.) the feathers would do that if they were about to loose the feather. That maybe all it is if it is that just let nature take its course and he will remove it when it is time to take it out and a new one will come in when it is ready. It very well could have been a damaged follicle from when he was struggling to move around and it just decided that it was time to go.A little it looks like, but I'll watch him to see if anything improves
