DUck killer

What attacks and kills ducks, eats only the head and neck and leaves the rest.

I lock the ducks up at night, but the pond is frozen (not enough for me), but the ducks stand on it at night and I have lost 2. Rounded them up in daylight today, I will not loose another, but what could it be, a Racoon?

In my experience, raccoon.

I lost a muscovy drake like this to an owl once anything else would have draged it off no matter how heavy it was unless it was a weasel.

Sorry for your loss, yep need to lock everything up at night too many predators out there,

my biggest problem is when the pond is frozen, they won't come off the pond.

whateer got them went on the frozen pond. urgh.

I guess this means, no pond for the ducks in freezing weather...! Lock down...sorry for your loss...

GHO will do this, but generally eat more of the carcass.
