If you hear quacking you are close. Talking to them helps. on a funny note dh is a bit gassy to sy the least and the morning we had pips and hatching he farted near the incubator and all the ducks answered Daddy Daddy Daddy I guess the sound was something the were used to hearing during their development.

This is nerve crushing...not sure of hatch day, AND using a new different bator...used to GQF wafer stat now new one is LIL G solid state thermostat.. oh today we have 2 pipped. Pain keeping humidity up w/new bator. using wet wash cloths and 2 additional h2o trays n 1plug in only gettin 67% and I am in Fla during rain season.

Try a new kitchen sponge, they hold water better than washclothes. Hang in there!

Mean you'll have ducks in the next 24-48 hours. no touchie. Serious, read a book, learn to knit, keep hands off.

Sidenote Peeps and rocking is a universial sign of hatching in all eggs. see they can only rock and make noise once they breach the aircell, which is the eggequivilent of water breaking in mammals. once that happens, it's time.

Have you candled throughout? It is possible for them to be a day or so late. I personally would probably candle, if I was certain there were no pips yet. Have you tried quacking or peeping at the eggs and watching for movement? This usually bring out some rocking.

One hatched and 2 more are working on it. As the sponge goes..are ones with the green scratcher ok? GQF bator is better for ducks. It has much more h2o reservoirs.
