Duck laying eggs

My rouen recently started laying eggs. She is up to 24 eggs right now and still isn't sitting. Is this normal? From what I've read they usually only lay up to about 18.

Some domestic ducks are either slow to figure out sitting, or don't do it at all. Just wait and see. But some of those eggs are going to be a bit old for hatching, I would think. I am not a hatcher - don't know all the ins and outs.
