Hello it’s day 26 today and I put the duck in 7 pm day 1 so I was going to start lockdown today but noticed this morning when I opened to turn egg the duck pip already !! We’ve had heat waves here and I’m constantly filling water in brinsea. I guess cuz extreme heat even tho I always check temp says 99 maybe that’s why hatching early. I’m nervous I pulled egg out I put back on X side that it was on when it pip and quick added water to other chamber to increase humidity and started lockdown this morning it’s been a couple hours I’m nervous I killed the poor duck by pulling it out to turn after it pip????!?!

Maybe not, I'd leave it alone for now. With chicks they can take 24 hours to hatch after they pip, and with ducks I think it's 48 but might depend on your breed. I'd wait until after it's been that many hours and then see if it is still alive. Hopefully by then the rest will have hatched so you don't have to open the incubator while there's any other pipped eggs.

If you have no alternative but to help it out, here is a good article that can help you through it.
