Duck making odd sounds

Hello, my friends duck has recently started making a weird quack. Her hen has started making a wheezing like quack and started eating and drinking less than normal, she came to me for tips but I have never had this occur. Does anyone have some insight?

Check her nostrils to see if they have dirt or crust blocking them.
If she does you can soften and remove it with a cloth with warm water.
Also watch if her breathing is normal. It would be unusual but ducks can get respiratory illnesses.

Tell your friend to make sure her duck has a bucket or bowl deep enough to dunk her head so she can clean her nares this is very important especially when eating.

Yes she has a pond! She was having breathing issues and was taken to the vet, not sure exactly what happen but she seems to be improving
