Duck mating question

I have black East Indies and Welsh Harlequin ducks. While I haven’t seen any duck mating going on the eggs in my incubator say otherwise. But my question is what are the chances that a black East Indie can actually mate with the welsh harlequin female successfully?

I am just trying to guess what might pop out of these eggs if they succeed in hatching. Am I going to get tiny looking Harlequin ducklings or are these going to be black welsh harlequin size ducks if they are mixed breeds.

I have one welshie drake and three black East Indie drakes.

Oh boy! I wasn’t thinking that they would be good at being successful at mating with a regular sized duck. Surprise ducklings it will be then!

Makes for interesting genetics questions on my part then.

I wanted Australian Spotteds originally but I couldn’t get a hold of any that hatched and the one that did turned out to be a cross with a call duck. But he was awesome!
