(1) We are in our 3rd spring of ducklings. This winter was our first year to winter and we had a couple very cold snaps! It was interesting.
(2) We have 6 grown ducks, but are looking to sell 2-3. We just got 3 new ducklings tonight and will be adding 4 more in May.
(3) We have 2 grown Cayugas, 4 grown Rouens, and one duckling of each: crested pekin, silver appleyard, and saxony. In May we had 4 pekins.
(4) One of my sons has been CRAZY about ducks for years and he loves his ducks. He has one duck that has bonded with him in weird ways you think you'd only ever see in movies. This duck hugs him back and snuggles him, but no one else! I knew I would enjoy my ducks too, but I had no idea just how much I'd enjoy them! On a bad day I find myself in front of their pen watching them.
(5) We also enjoy camping, 3D printing, laser engraving/cutting, and I use my cricut a ton!
(6) I am a mom to 3 boys: twins and a very proud big brother. My husband is a smart IT manager and I work in the office at my kiddo's school. We also have 2 cats, a hamster, and some fish!
(7) I found BYC by searching google and this site always seemed to have the answers I was searching for and couldn't find anywhere else. I've searched this site for a couple years and thought it was finally time to join. My husband and my neighbor gave me a hard time the first year b/c I always talked about "I found another helpful article on BYC" and they would both always reply, "But you don't have chickens!" It's become a new joke around here!
