Duck neck problem

This morning she was out of her house, laying in her pen, still stretched out. We kept them penned up today. Less stress than being by all the chickens.
I will try the apple cider vinegar. My concern is she is not drinking because if she puts her head in liquid she will drown since she can't seem to lift it up........

Hmmm,

three years old, never laid an egg. Something's up with that. May or may not be related.

iamcuriositycat had a flock that was not laying, and after she replaced them, she realized that there was something in the garden hose leaching into their water that was suppressing their ability to lay.

Pinched nerves will cause something like what you are seeing.

I wonder if some kind of infection in her head could be affecting her, too.

Do you have access to a vet?

all of our chickens get the same water as the ducks....and they lay great

We don't have a local vet per say....just one we call with questions occasionally

Like I said I wonder if it could be a strain or something from falling on her face.......Due to her leg problems when she tried to move quickly she sometimes will fall.....

Could be. Can you give her some swim - float time in a tub of lukewarm water deep enough to float in? Sometimes you can see something while they're in the tub. Keep close watch in case she cannot keep her head above water.

Just an update......Still not normal but she seemed better last night. She was standing with her head up and made it up the ramp into her coop on her own. I am wondering if it was more of an injury than anything.

You may never know but wonderful news that she is better. Hope she continues
